Property Resident Management Systems 101

written by Melissa Marsland in Atlanta, Georgia

When you are making your rendezvous and asking to get all resident connections from your teammates, you need to understand the systems they are using. Here is a quick resource to grasp the most popular systems your leasing staff will use.

Yardi – Resident Directory

-Ask the agent to type in “Directory” in the top left search bar. The report will either be under “resident directory,” “tenant directory,” or just “directory,” then add the dates you would like to pull it for (I do for the next 90 days).

-IF nothing comes up when they do that, they can click on “residential analytics”, which will take them to a page with a drop-down bar, where if they scroll through they should find it there.

OneSite – Pending Tasks

-Click on Reports, then All Reports, then it is alphabetical where they can find “pending tasks”

-If they need it as a list to submit to AVA for the leasing agent, they will also need the “All Residents” report. Ask the agent to filter out “current resident” and add in “applicants.” There are also “approved applicants” they can filter in, but from my experience, that will not pull anything. Only the applicants filter will work, where they will need to get confirmation of approval or pending.

Entrata

-There is no specific name for the report, but if they click on “Residents” on the top red banner, then on the left side, click the filter button, and the 2nd option will allow them to check the box for “future.” There is also a box to check for ”approved,” which will show what they need to see!

If you have any additional systems you are familiar with and want to add to this article, feel free to email Riggs, and he can add them to this article.
